
How does my child shop at Dressed for School?
We serve Porter County students whose families who are experiencing financial insecurity or are in-crisis.
- Shopping Visits: Shopping appointments at Dressed for School occur during sping and fall distribution only
If your child is enrolled in K-5th grade, transportation may be provided from your child's school. Please check with your school or social worker. If transportation is provided, your child will arrive to the store via a school bus, much like a field trip. Once there they will be assisted by a volunteer to make sure they choose an appropriate, well fitting wardrobe.
If you have a child/children enrolled in K - 5th grade and your school does not provide transportation, please request a 30-minute shopping appointment below. Appointments are available during sping and fall distribution only.
Proof of Porter County school enrollment is required.
If you have a student enrolled in a Porter County middle school and need help with their clothing needs, please contact your school’s social worker to make a referral to us. We currently do not serve pre-school aged students.
2. Families in-crisis are referred to us from trusted community partners year round.
